Clydesdales/Athenas (200+ lb / 91+ kg) - It FINALLY happened....

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I started riding a little in July and was more consisitent and serious by August. Anyways, yesterday a co-worker commented that I must be riding because I'm starting to look thinner. It only took losing 22 pounds for someone to notice:rolleyes:
He hasn't seen me probably for at least a month. Plus, he may have been tipped off by his wife, also a co-worker, who I talked to about cycling because she also cycles.
Oh well, whatever the reason it made me feel good!

Wait til you see someone who hasn't seen you in years and they don't recognize you until they hear your voice. ;) That truly feels good. :D

That someone maybe my identical twin. The last time I saw him, we were close in size, hopefully next time I see him, I will have a living before and after photo:lol:

Not to hijack your thread, but I've lost 20-25 since winter, and saw someone this week I hadn't seen over the summer... he commented I'd lost weight and said I was looking good (not sure if that was a come-on, but I don't think so  )
Anyway, yes -- it is nice to have someone notice all the effort you've put in to dropping that extra luggage!

Congratulations!
I found when I began losing weight it took 40 pounds of loss before co-workers started noticing. That was about ten percent of my starting body weight.
My best moment was when I was interviewing internally for a new position. The HR representative set me up for an interview, and when I showed up she didn't know who I was. She'd met me about three or four times a year for the past three years....
