Triathlon - how much sleep do you get a day (on average)?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I used to get around 8 hours of sleep before I got into triathlons and always thought I was tired... now that's completely changed-I usually spend about an hour a day biking/running and for sleep I get almost 6, more like 5 and a half hours of sleep a day. Is this normal? I think I'm starting to get sick and have a sort of "chronic tiredness" throughout the day haha.
I try to get at least 6 hrs, might get less if I work OT. I don't know if there is a "norm" for sleep time, it varies by the individual IMO. I could be wrong though, I've read that 8 hrs is better.

I went to sleep at 5:00 pm yesterday, woke up at 6:00 am today for a personal record of 13 hours. Feeling pretty surreal right now. I catch up on sleep in the weekends.
