It's just dawned on me that I came across some of your machines on the web a good while ago and that was one of the reasons I got the urge to experiment with a 20!
This BSA was bought for that reason but when I saw it in the metal I just couldn't do it!
So I'm still looking:)

Well it's good to hear that the happily restored/modded twenties are inspiring the saviour of more!

Please leave this BSA 20 as is, there are other non-folding junker 20s around to play with, this one is too good to mod up.

Viscount, you have some amazing bicycles; how do you store them all? The other day I saw a photo of a house where there was a glass wall between the garage and the living room, so the owner didn't have to get out of his chair to gaze lovingly at his car. I guess it was a compromise with his wife, who wouldn't let him park it in the living room....

In my bedroom mostly:)
I ain't kidding, I moved into my 'tiny, efficient retirement flat' June 2007 and regretted it immediately.
2 bikes are OK, but 12 and various frames, wheels etc. just don't work.
I got no workshop, nothing, just my living space. And it's on the first floor, up one flight of steps....
Which I share with lots of bikes but no females (at least not permanently).
Crazy but it's fun, + and I enjoy every minute!!

Next a 1947 Thanet Silverthan.
Next the red one is a Dawes Realmrider,
and behind that is a 1947 Holdsworth La Quelda etc.
Two more on the bed to the left.
