Hi everybody
the Open Waterbike (http://www.openwaterbike.com/ ) needs recumbent seats.
Have you any suggestion for standard recumbent/semirecumbent bicycle seats available as parts?
Or maybe manufacturers potentially interested in partecipating to the collective project?
The 'components' section of the Open Waterbike Project is here: http://www.openwaterbike.com/components
The seats are to be used on water, but they usually don't get wet. Sometimes the weather could be hot under the sun, so transpiration could be an issue, but in general there is no particular difference with recumbent bikes seats, so we can use all the experience gained by you fellow recumbent bikers and by recumbent bicycle manufacturers :)

You might want to talk with the people at Rans (http://www.rans.com/). They not only produce some fine seats and excellent attachment systems but make light aircraft as well as recumbent and crank-forward bikes.

If you like the efficiency of a hardshell seat, this is a nice unit.
With only 4 mounting points, it is very rigid.
A great deal for a quality seat.
