Considering buying a Trek 5200 road bike or Fuel or Liquid MTB? Trek is having another series of demos. See http://www.trekbikes.com/explore_cycling/demo/
I am going to the one on 19 March in Wilmington, DE. I have already e-mailed them, requesting they have a 63CM 5200 available.
As much as I have pretty much decided on a LeMond Zurich, everytime I go into the LBS and see the 5200, I can't just walk by it. I have to stop and check it out. I hope by riding the 5200 for a few hours will allow me to finally make up my mind for sure, once and for all, again.....

I'm in the exact same situation as you. I've made my mind up (I think) that I'm getting a Zurich, but every time I go into my LBS I can hear the 5200 calling my name.
I tried your link and unfortunately Trek is not coming to Colorado.

you know trekrider, if its just between the two bikes, and they are at the same shop, then your LBS might not be too adverse to setting up both bikes and having you ride them back to back. the main reason I went to that one in december at avalon was so that I could try like 50 different bikes without anybody getting mad at me...I had no intention of buying any of those!
But since you have sincere intentions, and you aren't just jerking them around, why not just take the short drive to your bike shop instead of the 3 hour drive to the demo?
Have you ever watched those nature films of lemmings?
That's what I imagine when I think of a TREK demo tour.

An excellent point, phatman, and one I hadn't really considered. I haven't wanted to put too much on them, as they would have to order one each in my size, and the one I didn't buy they would have in stock for a while. My LBS doesn't normally stock but one bike larger than 58cm, and the one they have is a Cannondale.
But, since they have a new owner and we have become at least friendly and the head wrench knows I am serious, I think I might approach them.
But, then, the demo is on a Friday and it was a great excuse to take off form work!

Took phatman's advice and visited my LBS today. The owner was there and said he would order a 5200 that he would let me try out for an afternoon. While there, the best wrench, who is, alas, only part time, asked me if I wanted his advice on which bike to get, and I said sure. He said the Zurich, hands down. From everything he knows, he rides one, and everyone he has talked to who has ridden both, the Lemond's with the spine frames are the best for long distance riding like I do.
