Southern California - Group ride tomorrow morning?

or even after? I would be looking for earlier times but my wife won't be able to watch my daughter until that time.

Me and some Riders are Leaving the Escondido Transit Center around 9am and heading West. 1 Group is only doing a 20 mile circuit while the rest of us head out to the coast down to Encinitas Blvd and coming back up the 101 to Palomar Airport Road

ok. That sounds good. how many people are you expecting and how many miles do you plan on? and average speed/ crusing speed? What road is the transit center? I almost misread escondido for encinitas.

Avg speed will be around 15 give or take 1 I gen Cruise around 18-20 on the flats and 10 on hills. There will be 2 doing the 20 mile and 4 doing the 40 mile. Given that you need to be back to carlsbad by a certain time there will be opportunities to split off at El Camino Real. Assuming you are going to ride out to the transit station from carlsbad. The Transit Station is on Valley Parkway. Its the start and return on both maps. Google maps can get you there.

I'll see how my legs hold out I did 38 today from Esco to Poway. Felt good although Got a little burned. But I am planning on doing the 40 mile ride.

but it;s hard for me to get out of the house that early because my wife works part time at like 3 AM until eith 8:30 AM or 11:30 AM so I can't really leave until she gets home.

so I would drive out to Escondido and leave with you guys or else I would miss you guys. And getting off at Palomar (where I live) would be a short ride.

I'm going from Carlsbad north to the San Luis Rey Trail tomorrow. I think It's about 35-40 miles.

ok. I'll set my alarm and my tivo for the chargers game. My name is Chris I will be wearing a dirty captain america jersey. And be on a Fuji. I plan on being there, however, if my wife stays late at work I won't be able to make it.

I do that ride often, if I don't work overtime and am home before 4 I try to do this ride, I take PCH to the trail. Do you start at the beach or at college?

Do you ride it alone or with others?

Yea I want to make it back for the Chargers game as well. I figure 3.5 hours will be enough time

btw, I am less than 2 miles from the beach off cannon road so that's the area I start from.

I come from La Costa to PCH up to Oceanside. I've ridden it with others to Sleeping Indian. I thought I'd just do the trail tomorrow.

wife worked late, it's 9:00 and she's still not home. Maybe next week :( I will probably go out for 40 miles or so later in the day.

Sorry you couldnt join us. It was a fun ride. A little more Hilly through Elfin Forest then I thought. I am not the best hill climber so it was a good challenge. On the way through San Marcos I ran into a Bee and it stung my lip. Hurt so bad, I have been punched in the face and it didn;t hurt that bad. I'll post pic later once I get it off my cell.
Maybe another time you'll be able to make it.

I got stung by a bee coming down valley parkway I think before it turns into via de la Valle by the lake. It hit my Jersey and I didn't know it stayed attached to me and about a mile later it stung me. I had no reaction to it and the stinger didn't stay in my arm. It still hurt pretty bad tho.
