Ha! It wasn't there when I looked earlier this morning. Our weather has been cool and overcast in mornings, then clear(er) and warmer in the afternoon. WONDERFUL for early September when it usually heats up to 100+ as the kids return to school.

There are 2 totally predicable weather patterns here:

1. On January 1, it won't rain. Period. Even if it rains the day before and the day after, it won't rain on Jan 1.

2. Labor Day, it will feel like a furnace. You can count on it. No matter how nice and cool and comfortable it might have been the day/week before, it will be sweltering on Labor Day and the week the kids return to school. Except this year. :thumb:

6 inches of rain over the past 4 days here in Central Illinois. It's supposed to end Monday ... just in time to go back to work. Lousy weekend for riding -- that means not at all.

The Old Ones used to speak of this thing. They called it El Sol.

Sunny here again - but humid. I came back from my ride dripping.

Here in the Pacific Northwest our summer arrived in late August and has continued up to now and should be picture perfect for a couple more days and then by next weekend it looks like the real PNW will show up, cool and cloudy but man its been perfect here for about 3 weeks now. Great riding weather, in fact since I'm on strike and the wife retired Friday we are taking a ride tomorrow with the daughter and her boyfriend.

Here in the City by the Salty Lake, there was a great big round yellow thing in the sky late last night and early this morning, too! It wasn't as bright and warm as the one in the day time, but it was pretty!

Huh?

Had to dress up and go out Dancing and drink vast amounts of Cognac and champagne.

I had to celebrate because I am now an unburdened man----Well I will be when I pay off the bills that the day incured with my 2nd daughter getting married.
