Riding in Charlotte NC has always been a challenge. I like the 55 Mph state highway south of town (Rt 521) due to the fact that it is more lightly traveled than other roads and I can get a nice 50 Mile loop virtually any time other than rush hour.
Driving in town on roads that are 35 Mph and clogged with traffic is more dangerous (imho) than riding on the state highway.
Once again, flashers, bright clothes and paying attention will take you a long way.
One thing is for sure. There will be more cars on the road as time goes by. Not sure what we can do about that.....
