Okay, so I have my new bike road bike, and I'm looking to find a way to mount, or rather temporarily mount my flashlight. Here's a link to it, not sure if click able: http://www.surefire.com/maxexp/main/co_disp/displ/prrfnbr/24460/sesent/00
It's awesome, got it for camping but it has dozens of uses outside of it, and for around 60 (I found mine for less- got the yellow one because face it- who else really has an 80 lumen LED flashlight that's yellow and can last 12 hours... and is the size almost of a double a mini mag?) it's the best multi use flashlight I've laid my hands on.
Anyways, I digress, I plan to go night riding on occasion, I have a Giant OCR2 road bike recently purchased (couldn't afford the new models they're coming out with but for starting biking, and getting something with 105 and tiagras, I'm happy). I was looking for something that I can get to attach the light to the.. handle bars. In my mind it would allow me to just take out the light for when I go out riding during the day because I really wouldn't need it- but I have no problem provided the attachment is left on. I'm assuming it might be something like a twisted 8, where it wraps securely around the bar and the top is at about a 90 to the bottom ring which secures my flashlight. Not sure if anyone knows where I could get this, or even if there is a name for it. I've been looking but to no avail, so I am asking for any help!
Much appreciated! (btw, limited budget for the time being which is why I want to use this light, that and the light provides EXCELLENT night visibility, it's made to be bright to be used by Law Enforcement, Rescue and as personal defense to temporarily blind/disable attackers, so therefore.. Cars WILL see it :thumb:) Oh, one last thing, I would prefer if what I were to use was a clamp type of system, or whatever- nothing um.. velcro. I really just don't like it, and think it looks pretty cheap.. but if that's all there is...
