Mountain Biking - good ride today

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
We've been riding in a new place in NE OK, it's a Game Management area that has recently been opened to the public for other than hunting uses off-season. So far we have ridden well over 50 miles of trails like in the picture with a few more Jeep roads to explore. We have plans of building some single track to connect some of the trail roads with the best terrain. Should be sweet. The rider up the hill in this pic is my 61 year old riding buddy who's still scary fast...

Sweet!
Looks a lot like the trails around here, nice find man.
On the old dude, true they can be fast at any age, we have a 72 year old guy in our road group and he can climb better than some younger guys.

Its not really riding season? What do you expect talk of, epic adventures on my couch or in the gym? Give it a few more weeks when more of us are riding and you will see trail talk :)

Nice pic! Got any more?
It's exciting that the riding season is back again... I've been out a bit lately on the roadie and the commuter, but really can't wait to get back on the MTB.

Hold the phone, what is this season crap you reference? MTBing has no offseason. Find a good wet weather trail, and ride. I have not stopped riding since i started last summer. NO EXCUSES PEOPLE!!!!
I'll get some more pics next time I go. The old man was on a mission to make me work that day but I did spot some nice pine crested ridges next to the lake that would make some good shots...

4 - 10 ft of snow?...not a chance...
I don't do roads..period...ever
Dj's are buried...
I do put in the odd ride but there is an offseason in canada. The worst part is normally we could ride on the lakes but it wasn't cold enough this year to really put a deep freeze on them.

This IS our riding season. Summer's too hot and humid! This is perfect for us. Sunny and temps in the mid-70's.
Hey Mael, what is, "SNOW?" J/k, trying to rub it in a bit!

No worries. I have started snowboarding so the pain of the white stuff isn't soooo bad. But I still prefer a good singletrack or skinny ;)

it has finally stopped raining so much and i can go on some places that i have not been on in a while cuz they have been so wet and they would be destroyed by riding.that pic looks a lot like a state park near here called Pocahontas that has some great fire roads on the way to an even better set of mt bike trails that "vmba" has done an excellent job of making and maintaining even after Isabell tore down so many trees.if anyone is ever in central va look it up.its got from real easy to super technical trails that are worth the trip.been spending most of my riding time lately at "Battlefield Park" in Petersburg to rebuild the lungs for the season ahead.it is not too technical but it is beautiful and has enough big hills to go fast or work on climbs depending on direction of travel.while there are some trails in the area that make you forget you are in va. they are very fragile so can only be ridden in good weather.it is good to be a participator of the best sport ever invented.the private land near my house has been a blessing while the area has dried out some so we bike riders can get back to real business of serious enjoyment of the great land God has blessed us with
