Just another greeting from good ole SC. The name is Andy and I'm in Columbia for school. (home is in Concord, NC)

I didn't get too serious about riding until the early fall, so I'm still a noob when it comes to a lot of stuff. I mainly do mountain biking (more like hill riding around here) but I'm thinking about possibly doing some commuting/road biking.

I hear you'all got some snow. We had temps in the high 40's borderline 50 the other day. My hubby and several friends trailered their Harley's down to SC. He said they were driving their bikes (motorcycles) in hail and slush on their way to Daytona and the Florida Keys. So...if you want some nice riding weather, come up and see us sometime. Welcome to BF.

Welcome to the forums Andy. You need to give road riding a try too. Columbia is a beautiful place to ride.

outashape: We got snow this time last week, and Today it's a beautiful 80 outside. Go figure

Bikedud: I'd like to get into it at somepoint. It'd be nice to just walk out the door if I want a quick ride as opposed to having to drive about 20 minutes.

You got some great places to ride down there...I've read about most...only rode the one in Cheraw, SC...@ 2 yrs ago...but it was FUN...sand, log piles, really neat firebreak to ride on/over/bounce around on....

If you make it towards Winston-Salem...let me know...
