I did it! Biking all winter has really improved my skills, abilities and spin! My usual time last year on good roads on the same fixed gear set up was about 1hour 40 min, give or take a min. The past two days my commute to work has been 1.5 hours, and this afternoon it was under 1.5 by 2 seconds! I'm in awe!
Had a lot of fun at the stop lights on the way too, my back was steaming! I'm so juiced! I can hardly wait to get the road bike out and really do some cranking! And the burn! My thighs are truning to rock, as well as my calves. Not only that I'm down 20 pounds since the 1st of the year, a bunch more to go, but riding like this it won't take long.
I was so cocky today I even flipped off this bird in a Benz who rolled through her stop sign cutting me off with a left hand turn.
All this and on track for another 5K year just commuting, add a few centuries in there, and I could hit 6K for the year.
