I found a Dahon Boardwalk D6 for 200 dollars? I was wondering if this sounds like a good deal, or should i bargain? I tried looking around but i cant seem to find a price range.

Forgot to ask about the quality of the bike. Is it worth it or not.

a new one ? Its a good deal as singlespeed go for 200 and change ...

Its used, but I was checking the dahon website the only boardwalk they have that's a 6 speed is a 2004 model, is there any issues with the boardwalk d6?

I ride a Dahon Boardwalk D6 and it's great - except for the cheapy chain guard that shredded off.

I ride to and from the train on it, and it works great - I picked mine up for $100 on CL, but knowing what I ow know about it, I'd have been happy to pay the $200 you have it spotted for. Good solid bike, if a bit heavy. Rolls well.

well, I'm still waiting on the dealer but I'm wondering what needs to be upgraded. I did a review search on the boardwalk, a few say the stock seat is uncomfortable, the gears should be upgraded, and the magnet falls off (what ever that means).

Of course I also need protective gear. If he gets back to me, this will be my first bike ever and I have no idea how to bike. Of course the next question always is "wtf really?" When I was a kid my mom got me Rollerblades because they were cool in the late 80's early 90's.

Last year I sold our 2005 Boardwalk D7's for $175, each. It was a good deal to some friends. However, at the time, Camping World was having some sporadic specials for as low as $200 ea. for new ones.

$200 might be a little high for a used D6, but Thor is right - new S1's are now going for $200 (not the $129 I paid in 2006).

The stock seats on 2005 Boardwalks was very good - I am still riding my 2005 S1 almost every day. My Thud-Buster seat post makes it a very comfy ride.

The stock seat on my Bike Friday NWT is very similar and just as comfortable for me (6'3", 200 lbs).

The "Magnets" hold the bike together when folded. Thor USA offers replacement magnets. Here's the page:
