There was a time (back in the Roger Waters days) when Floyd was all I listened to. I'm saddened by this news.

Rest in peace, Rick. I will certainly miss you and your inspiration. (http://www.cnn.com/2008/SHOWBIZ/Music/09/15/obit.wright.ap/index.html)

:( I was sad when I heard of his passing yesterday. He was largely responsible for a lot of that "Pink Floyd sound." The Floyd were one of those bands I listened to almost non-stop from the late 70s to late 80s. It's a shame Waters and the band had a falling out. I wonder what else they could have come up with. Now we'll never know.

+1 There was a synergy with Waters.

(Am I forbidden to start threads on BF?)

If you are referring to me merging the threads, no you are not forbidden to start threads at all, but it is BF policy to try and merge similar threads on the exact same subject. Happens all the time when a celebrity passes. Just happened in the road forum when Lance Armstrong unretired and everyone there started a Lance thread.
