Pete,
It looks like the only wave left you can sign up for is the 80 min + group. Too bad since I know you could break an hour. You can still go as fast as you want, but you'll have traffic in front of you from that wave.

It's for a good cause and, it's a lot of fun too. Several years back, I was closing in on a rider on a commuter bike...he gave me the look, stood up and pulled away. Lolz, owned by a commuter.

I'll just grab your wheel to get through the hairy parts.

Sigh...it's been a long day.
Can't make this date for 08, but I think this will be a must do for me next year.

I'm in - they put me in the 17th wave (right behind the unicycle, but in front of the one-legged rider on the 40 pound recumbent). I'm hoping to break six hours this time...
Actually, I've never made it to the top: I live 10 miles from the South Gate entrance and I always ride from home. Last time I went up (a couple weekends ago), I reached the 3000 foot level and was feeling pretty good. Then I remembered that I have to ride all the way back home and I'm pretty pooped by then (plus my wife always punishes me with a honey do list), so I turned around at that point.

I should do it, but don't know that I have time.
It's my birthday weekend an I'll be really friggin' old. Officially.

Happy Birthday!! A little early, but I'm starting to forget things.
Really friggin old? Somehow I doubt that: I'm getting long in the tooth (yeah - I only have one left), but my wife still asks me when I'm gonna grow up. The only intelligent response I can think of is, "Why would I want to do that?!"
Wait, what was the question again?

If anyone is interested, I have a 1st wave registration available. I can't make it this year but I signed up a few months ago. PM me if you're interested. I'm asking $50, which is $10 off if you register through active.
Thanks!
EDIT: Registration is now SOLD.
