I was surprised today to see a couple riding the strangest bikes I had seen in a long time. They looked like something out of the history book. I managed to catch up with them and talk to them and they gave me some literature on the bike. It’s a Pedersen Bicycle. It was patented in 1893 by Mikael Pedersen and is considered so good that it is still manufactured today with a modern drive train. Click on to

to see an image and more details. It looks like a fun bike for casual riders. The couple were certainly enjoying theirs.
That's a cool looking bike. It seems like it's height restricted for short riders like women though.
I wonder if they sell them here in the usa? It would be a cool cafe runner
did you find anything more out about it?

I saw a new one outside a bike shop in London. It had rosewood rims that looked good enough to eat.
It is a performance bike, not just a fancy cafe cruiser.
