Bicycle Mechanics - Nokon or IRD Metawire any good?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Anyone used either the Nokon or IRD Metawire cables? Are they worth it and live up to their promises?
I just put together a new bike with 10 speed Dura-Ace and I'm having a few problems getting the gear shifting perfect (my older bike has 8-speed Record, so maybe I'm expecting too much). I've greased the cables a couple of times and the shifting is getting better, but it still gives me the occassional mis-shift. So I'm thinking of getting a set of these cables to see if they fix the problems...

Never used them but you should use a dry lube on shifter cables.

Hey, I just bought a new road bike with 2004 Dura Ace 10-speed and Nokon cables. It shifts sometimes for no apparent reason, especially in gears 3 - 5 when on the smaller front chain ring. My local bike shop (I did not buy the bike from them) said they could not begin to adjust the shifting because the Nokon cables will cause a spontaneous shift whenever they are deformed by, for example, turning the handlebars and thereby changing the tension. Their mechanic demonstrated this on their repair stand. They said the the 10-sprocket Dura Ace required too fine a tolerance to accept the cable tension changes caused by slight bends in the cable.
I am faced with finding a way to correct this on my own, or changing over to normal cables.
Who can help me with the fine adjustment here? Help!

I would change over to regular Durace cables.

About a $100 a set and the devil to set up correctly. The exterior must be cleaned regularly and well else it will corrode. I took them off both of my bikes that came with it.
