I was feeling fine when I went to bed last night, but woke up about 1am all full of fluid and crap in my chest, spent the next hour ralphing up everything in my tummy...then spent the rest of the night and into the morning with chills, shakes body aches and a headache. Until just an hour ago I felt like I had been mugged and still feel a little woozy. Am I going to die?

Try the sweating it out theory- you'll have one day of misery instead of 5 days of illness.
Of course. We all are.
Probably not right away tho....

Will your naked pictures to me if you die, please.
Seriously...hope its like a 24 hour thing. I had a 24 hour thing like that once...was weird as hell. Felt like crap all of a sudden for no particular reason, then it was gone the next day as quick as it came on.

I can't remember having a bug hit so fast and so hard...but I am almost feeling normal again now.
Cheri left a can of Campbell's Chicken soup on the counter this morning...I'll guilt her into making homemade chicken and dumplings later this week. In the meantime, I have spaghetti sauce & meatballs in the crock pot, with lots of garlic, for dinner. :D

Pcad is married, so while it's ok with me, you probably should ask his wife.

Wednesday, I felt human and by Thursday I was fine and dandy. But you have to milk for everything you can. Although I don't a wife, and my parents are unfeeling when it comes to being sick.

It came on suddenly because you let your body rest. Then the viral monsters came an attacked you while you were sleeping. I saw them. This is what they looked like. :troll:

Must have something to do with what went down in LA last Saturday night. You'll feel better soon but can expect a relapse on Oct 25th.

Yes you will. You only have about 40 years left.
something you ate?
Excluding alcohol, the only times I've ralphed have been food related - both times after the same sandwich from the same fast food joint. It also came on very suddenly, felt like hell for several hours, then back to normal couple hours after purging.

Sounds like what happened to me Friday morning! Found a nice hot spring to soak in on Thursday, a commercial one that sold beer. Bikes get in free, so we drank a lot. Found the only bar in town, drank more. Slept in a BBQ shed under a grill. Woke up with the worst hangover ever, puked a few times and made a quick exit. Felt better around mile 20 or so that day...

What are the symptoms of illness caused by noroviruses?
The symptoms of norovirus illness usually include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and some stomach cramping. Sometimes people additionally have a low-grade fever, chills, headache, muscle aches, and a general sense of tiredness. The illness often begins suddenly, and the infected person may feel very sick. In most people the illness is self-limiting with symptoms lasting for about 1 or 2 days. In general, children experience more vomiting than adults. I've had it, and it was exactly as described. Been found on cruise ships because it is easily transmitted. An amusement park up here had a nasty outbreak of it this past summer too. Guests were not too happy!

Nope that wasn't it. I woke up about 1am feeling like my chest and lungs were full of fluid...coughing that up is what caused the vomiting. Then I was able to get back to sleep...kind of, but when I awoke at 5am to ride to work, I had the chills and was shaking uncontrollably....so I put on some more blankets and went back to sleep until about 10am. Then I felt weak, had a headache and just kinda woosey. As the day wore on I've begun feeling better...just a little cough and feeling a little weak. Whatever is was, it came hard and fast, then left just as fast. I dunno, just glad it's leaving.
I imagine the buckeyes and browns contributed to the vomiting as well. :(
Sorry Chip.
Being sick sucks, you have my sympathies.
