Sorry to intrude ladies but does anybody have experience with small frame racing bikes using 26 inch ( 650mm ? ) wheels , thatīs a real road bike but with smaller wheels on very small frame sizes , 48 , 50 cm or smaller .
Yes. I have a Luna bicycle (www.lunacycles.com) that uses 650c wheels because I am short with a short torso and such wheels are necessary to build a frame that fits me properly. The woman who makes these bikes is a big fan of small wheels, and she also said she could build me a road bike using mountain bike rims (!) if I wanted something that would take a variety of tires, as tire selection in the 650c size is rather limited to narrow and narrower. I love the littler wheels. The bike looks good and I can really get those wheels moving fast!!!!!
My aunt has a fast road bike she used for triathlons that has 26 inch wheels. Other than the wheel and frame size, those bikes are basically like any other, i think. My aunt's bike seems like a really nice one, but i don't know who made it.
