I apologize if this is a no brainer, but I'm still kinda new to the MTB thing.
If I had a choice between two used forks for a cheap old frame, which should I pick: RockShox Judy 110mm (condition unknown, but might need to be rebuilt) or a Manitou Mars (I believe 100mm, definitely needs new seals and to be rebuilt)? Both forks are cheap (under $50) and I'd be doing any rebuilding myself.

Depends on which Judy model it is...some of the newer ones were not very good...just springs with no dampening. Make sure the steerer of the new fork is long enough for the frame it's going on. Make sure you can still find the seals to rebuild it with...some of those parts aren't easy to find. $50 sounds a bit high for a fork that needs to be rebuilt before it can be used...

I ended up going with the Mars. The Judy turned out to be pretty low-end. The Mars does need to be rebuilt, but I already have a good lead on the seals online. The best part - the fork was only $10.
