Hi there. My friend gave me a set of Vuelta Airline 2 wheels that came on his 2001 Trek 1000. This bike had an 8sp Sora drivetrain.
The rearwheel that I was given does not have any cassette. I have a beater bike so I would not like to spend too much money on a new cassette. Which of these from Nashbar would work on the bike?

The old wheelset I used had a 7sp cassette going from 13T-30T.. and similar gearing would be nice. Do I have to mount 8sp cassette onto the new wheels? or could a 7sp work with spacers? (The derailleur is a 70s Suntour friction unit, btw. It was originally used with 5sp, but I adjusted the range to work perfectly with the 7sp)
