Ok, before you nag me for being irresponsible, let me just tell you that I already bought him two gifts: a T-mobile sim card so he can call me without my mom harping on me using up the minutes by calling out of network, and a Mugen costume. However...he already has the sim and is using it, and the Mugen costume is for Halloween, so he will not open it 'til then.

What do I get him for tomorrow? I just want to give him something cheap, (not more than $10--I already spent $100-something for his main gift), useful, and hopefully small so that he has something to unwrap.

The Big Lebowski tenth anniversary limited edition that comes in a bowling ball. I was stumped for a gift for my friend and his fiance, because what I'd already ordered on their registry was delayed, so i got this and I was totally the hero of the event. If your boyfriend is one of those cats that "doesn't get" Big Lebowski, dump him immediately.

Good idea, but a bit over budget. "Ten dowlah only!" the thrifty part of my brain screams. I guess if I don't find anything else, I can get him this.

I didn't think MUGEN had any characters of it's own, although I saw some guy playing the little girl from The Ring and I thought that was cool as Hell.

Well, I think we have a winner! Pie it is! Chocolate mousse pie and a can of whipped cream...you can wrap pie, right?

I watched this movie again a couple nights ago, trying to 'get it', and I just can't. I really can't figure out what the big deal is with it.

Yep. To be fair though, it's just cycling that he absolutely refuses to do, with me or without.

Ah well. At least he eats pie with me.

Oh. Since he's turning 21 too, can someone recommend a nice and cheap wine to go with the pie?

Cabarnet Sauvginon goes well with chocolate. You should be able to find a Chateau St. Jean for $10-12 at most places.

Pinotage. Nederberg or Indaba.

Fish Eye, Cab, would be reasonable.

If you've never melted into your lover's arms then you're missing out. There is nothing else quite like sweet abandon.

I see your point, but think about it from the other point of view. Melting into your lover's amorphous, possibly appendages? Not quite the same thing is it? :)

I say a Triple Grande Latte (that's LESS) than 10 bucks, and use the rest on an Old Navy gift card. He can probably get flip flops or socks or something. :)

MrCrassic

Can you even afford a coffee at Starbucks if you only have a $10 gift card?

Sure. A Grande cup of coffee can range from $0.60 to $1.99.

Now, a Frappacino, loaded with whip cream, chocolate, ice, etc etc etc on the other hand...(I swear, it's not a milkshake!)
