Fifty Plus (50+) - First ride in 45 days
Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
The doctor released me today to start using my right arm again. I had a bike accident 6 weeks ago that broke my collarbone. It felt really good to be back on the bike. Only thing I noticed was that my hands and butt seemed to have lost their callousness.
It even felt good to climb some hills.
I can hear the Katy Trail calling my name.

Welcome back. I know how you feel.

Great news. I was wondering how you were recovering from that accident.

I get the heebeejeebees if I'm away on a trip for only two weeks. I can't imagine not riding for 6 weeks.
Welcome back and hopefully you're back to your old shape sooner rather than later.

Welcome back and enjoy!

I know how you feel too. I had to take two months off. Rode around Creve Coeur Lake today (or tried to, much of the path was flooded) and out to the Missouri River.
It was nice to be able to ride again.

Glad to hear you're recovered and back on the bike. It's a good feeling, isn't it?
I haven't been on my bike since Sunday, and getting on it before Friday looks iffy. I already feel :twitchy: so I can only imagine how you feel having been off for weeks, not days. You'll get your previous fitness back soon, I'm sure.

II sure know how you feel about getting back on the bike:thumb:
It was a fine sunny day down under in Oz so I decided to forgo the privilege of mowing the lawn, or the delights of cleaning the pool, and enjoy a metric century - the first since breaking my hip on Feb 23 this year.
The Veloway was clear of traffic - very few hikers and only one or two cyclists. There are some advantages to being a retired GOP.
Best of all I was only 2 k/hr slower than my previous century in March - but a lot more sore by the time I got home.
