Anyone doin the Hilly Hundred? I'm definitely doing it this year. My question is... is anyone doing the ride to the Hilly ride on that Friday from dowtown Indy. It's a little over 50 miles. I'm thinking of doing that too.

I've thought about riding to the Hilly...I've heard it's a great time. Most of it revolves around logistics, like if I'm taking the day off of work, weather, whether I want a car there, etc. Are you talking about the route that starts on S. Meridian?

yeah... i was reading on the ciba site that there was a pre-ride or "ride to the hilly" on that Friday. i'm wondering how big the group is that actually does that group ride down to bloomington. i'm thinking of doing it as well. i'm doing the hilly already... just contemplating whether or not i want to tack on another 50+... (150+ in 3 days). it's not that the 150 is bad, it's just that the following two days are hilly. ah screw it. i'm doing it anyways. taking that friday off. i might as well.

I signed up for the Hilly Hundred in Bloomington. But the state my house is in right now I might have to cancel the ride.

The biggest drawback for me is getting home. I stay at the school in Ellettsville, and when we are done riding, we hit the sports bars to watch college football and baseball. So the necessity of a car pretty much overrides the ride down.
If I want the extra mileage, I can always run the route twice...although I'm thinking that probably won't happen this year.

Scummer,
How is the clean up going? I can't imagine much worse than cleaning up after a flood.

Hardwood floor in the workout room is out down to the studs.
I need to completely redesign and rework the electrical panels in the basement since the old panels are not up to code and need to be replaced and redesigned.
So, I'd say weeks of work still.

Scummer,
That sucks. My thoughts are with you. Will you be able to encompass the redesign to have the breaker panel upstairs? Also, in speaking to a FEMA inspector when they were looking at my house, it was mentioned that the wiring leading to junctions boxes should be replaced it the box was underwater. He indicated that this was not done after Katrina, and there have been house fires after the fact that were traced to this.
Hopefully this sorts itself out pretty quickly. We are still battling flood insurance on the floods from June.
