Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I bought a bakfiets late last year before the birth of my daughter.
I just posted some more photos online (on Flickr) to show some of the stuff I've hauled, and what sorts of things you can do with these awesome machines from Azor bikes in the Netherlands.
Click on the image below to see the photos I shot over the past couple of months:

Are you the same person who wrote the essay on Bicyclefixation on the subject?

Well done! I just test rode one at Clever Cycles while I was in Portland, and if I didn't already have my Xtracycle all tricked out, I'd definitely look at one.

Is that car seat secured to the box?
Is that car seat secured to the box?
yes.
i attached the base with the straps that attach to the hooks in a car. used a few eye bolts and added foam under the head end to take some of the bump out.
she's too little to sit upright in the bak on the bench seat... so for now she rides in her car seat. she started traveling in the bak @ 2 1/2 months.
