Hello folks the season is just about to start and i bought some new lube this year. I sent my dad out to get it for me because he was going by the LBS and said he would get me some. He came back with a 320ml bottle of it (pretty big i think its a refill bottle). Anyways it came with an aplicator valve but the second i turn it over to dab it on the chain the stuff goes EVERYWHERE (very watery). Im thinking of finding a small 120ml bottle somewhere and applying it then. Any other tips using the big or small bottles to apply?

Shake well before lubing or refilling as to disperse the wax in the solvent. Apply to the lower portion of chain while pedaling back wards. Three crank revs will do the trick.

remember to NOT ride the bike immediately after applying White Lightning. It consists of a wax diluted with a solvent. The solvent needs time to evaporate and the wax time to settle and bond to the inside of the chain.
I usually apply the WL over 2or3 evening before using the chain. Keeps it nice and water tight and well lubed

Hi superjoe,

I use a disposable hypodermic syringe with a very thick needle. I grind the sharp end away to make it safe. Please be carefull and use a NEW syringe and needle. You never know what you get if you use a used one!!!!! Syringes are also handy to use with light oil and larger ones make nifty grease guns (without a needle). The ideal syringe is one with a rubber O-ring and not the large black plunger type. The oil dries out the rubber and renders the rubber useless.

Keep those wheels spinning!!!!!
