BMX - Im so happy

i just got my new front rim and forks from danscomp. shadow stun rim in purple, macneil 14mm front hub in black, primo spokes, black sunday night 2 forks. I had danscomp build up the rim for me. Is there anything i need to do before i ride it? The spokes seem tight...anything else?

No, teh Shadow is Teh besstistis.

my beef with Shadow is that the appeal of their products is mostly because of thier "hardcore" image. it's not hardcore. people who think Shadow's designs are cool are the same people who buy Slipknot t-shirts at Hot Topic.

ummmmmm...i like shadows designs, and i absolutely hate slipknot. and i dont really go to hot topic a lot.

i never go to hot topic, i hate slipknot, and i bought the rim because my friend has it and its great, hasnt bent yet, ive heard alot of great reviews about the rim, and i wanted a purple rim.

ya how much is powder coating though i like the shadow rims but u should of got a proper rim those rule.

or you could have just bought a shadow rim...it was a tossup between the proper and shadow, and their both about as good as the other.

I just got back from the skatepark, i havent been to a park in about 5 years. About 3 or 4 other people had shadow rims in the back and front, 2 had purple. Everyone there said there amazing, so is there a reason why you guys are telling me that there ****? And ryan, ill get some pics within a few days.

i dont think they'll die the fastest. it all depends on how good the wheel build is. I just hate shadow.

i would've just gotten the proper. and powder coating isnt horribly expensive.

Rims arent a really big deal, a front rim can be light because it gets less impact, the back should be strong tho, mine is and its bent because it needs truing.

oh thats why i take my rims to the shop but i do everything else just not the rims.
