Vittoria has posted a new tire in there 2009 line up that's looks very interesting. 350gr for 32c & 390gr for a 35c. Has Triple Shielding.

Anyone heard of this?

On paper, these seem like they would be great tires. Can anyone comment on them? How is the rolling resistance?

I'm looking for an efficient set of fast fatties. Thanks.

Never tried these but have a real issue with Randonneurs, they seem to have a shelf life of a couple of thousand km then anything will puncture them, something up with the compound maybe? Still some people swear by them, so if your route is fairly glass free give them a whirl.

I'm pretty impressed with my randonneur pros in terms of resistance to punctures and nice rolling ability. The hyper seems to be 30 gms lighter with an additional puncture proof layer. Price isn't too bad either.

I think, however that for where I ride I may go with marathons once my randonneurs wear out.
And that won't happen for a few more years, I'm betting.

Bump.

Anyone tried these tires yet? Do they measure true to their stated size?
