So this week they started to fix the bad slide area on Skyline in Oakland about 500 feet north of Snake Rd.
The crew has put up fences and barriers in such a way that passing through the zone is actually fairly challenging. I had to hold onto a tree and hold my bike at the same time.
Current advice is to avoid the area if at all possible.
The signs say closure from 9/15/08 to 10/30/08.
