Third person in Caledonia in 6 weeks . . . two may have been hit by the same guy.
If true, I hope they string the guy up.

I've only been riding on the Racine County Bike Trail with my MTB which in the far western part of the county and if ridden end to end with the part in Waukesha County runs 20 miles end to end. If someone gets hit on that, I'm gonna start riding in cow pastures. :(

I think I'm noticing a possible pattern - there isn't much room on the shoulder of the road to ride. Maybe I'm wrong, or mistaken...but from these google street views I've been looking at, the locations of these accidents, the roads seem to be relatively narrow with little room on the shoulder to ride (unless you ride in the gravel). What do you guys think? People come speeding down the lane (drunk, high, unattentive, who knows?)...maybe a bit too far to the right...and clip the rider?

Sure. These are country roads. They are everywhere ... but if you hit someone, something ... STOP !! Check it out and render assistance. That is the crime.

I completely agree with you, John. Personally...If I ever had the GREAT misfortune of ever hitting anyone (I don't plan on it obviously), they well-being would be the priority. I'm not sure what state the driver was in, in this crash, but it could have very well be a variety of things (drunk, high, inattentive, etc); I agree with you that they should have obviously stopped to check on the biker, being under the influence isn't an excuse.
