Savannah, GA; Sunday Feb 29th started off as another great day for Mountain Bike Champion Brian Lopes, as he was visiting with friends in Savannah , GA.
While participating in some off-road activities aboard a Yamaha "Mule" 4- wheel side by side cart , the vehicle lost traction and rolled over catching his left leg between the ground and the roll cage breaking his left tibia (shin). Brian suffered an open compound fracture and is currently at the Memorial Hospital of Savannah having surgery to repair the broken Tibia. Doctors expect to see him back on his feet in three months.
