raw speed ...i suggest a small clear visor
just big enough to help with wind resistance
i seen a sweet one for steebikes that was
wind tunnel tested to create a pocket
around the driver...anything over 30 and
it becomes evedent quickly

i also noticed a second modded schwinn...
what motor?
hydrolic brakes...off dirt/street bike?

You took off the zip motor and added a new motor at the back. Is it a crystalite?
What type of batteries and controller did you use.

im using the goldenmotor at 60v with a lifepo4 at 48v and a sla at 12v. im ordering 2x 36v lifepo4 in series. and next spring upgrading the hubmotor to a 5305 or 5304.

i'm running limn 2x20v 6ah(yardworks) + 1x12v 12ah sla
total mixed volts 55 no pedal speed(stock izip) 51.1kmh
my range increased to 17.5km at 22-24kmh?...

ok i got the bottom bracket ready to weld, just need to pick up some more steel from hd.
to mount the shocks.

the rear disk is finished it turned out great no woble of any kind. i have a order of fairing and Hydraulic
front and rear brakes coming in.

i think that double shock looks cool but is overkill...are you going to a single
shock? very clean build btw

im new to ebike mod builds,i admire your skills:thumb:
i need your point of view on a couple of electric motor set ups
ive seen you build on others threads on this forum that im interested in...

first i think it was either a 36v or 48v 1000watt curries style set up you put together,where the motor is mounted on the left hand side on the rear wheel,what is your opinion on this type of set up..any good points or bad points.to expect..

also ive seen one where you have mounted the same motor(i think it was)in the middle of the frame
using the bikes gears,similar to cyclones kit...again if you could share your experience with this set up running at 36v or 48v.also any good or bad things to expect...

my goal is to build a ebike that will go 30mph on flat,+have good torqe,& semi steepish hill climbing ability.
my budget for this build would be around $500.00 to $800.00aus excluding the mountain bike...

im shure your input,is reliable + informative...

i think the cyclone style kit,could be a bit dangerous in the case of some sort of failure at
25+mph speeds..
i currently own a 36v 400watt front wheel ebike,ive been riding it now about a year
with no probs..so for reliability,hub motors gets a :thumb: from me.

so for my project build im thinking of ordering a 450watt 36v geared motor (currie style)
+ motor mount.whick will make motor installation alot easier..and plan on mod it to 48v..+
cooling the motor.i read about on endlessphere.com.
Q, do you know of anyone that supplys the 36v1000watt motor..i cant find anyone with stock..
also.in a couple of weeks im buying a 2nd hand electric moped 200watt to modify..60v..
for some reason emoped site only claims 200watt 48v 20amp @25-30 kph,im after 55-60 kph
i think its the smaller wheel size..
anyway im ordering the 450watt motor+parts from tncscooters.com,
they seem cheap+are quick to response to emails.

hows that for a hand made heim joint:thumb: im starting to like the brushed steel look, i wonder if i could just clear coat it?

i went for a black metalic swing arm. and a darker gray for the frame looks like new.:)

i feel the need for speed:D i had a few pics left over from deleting my camaras sim card enjoy.

hey karma hows the build going?
when you swapped front ends on your izip was there a difference in length of the stem?
mine looks like a 1 inch difference? did you have to modify or swap the neck tube?
if so how? i have the same bike and want to use the zoom forks and upgrade to disc brake on the front
also have a cranked bike i'm modding as well
any help or heads up would be great

i wish i was still working on it, i found the frame had some bad rust to the point it was no longer safe to ride. so i scrapped it. im looking to start another this time with a new frame :)
