hey folks. I just got my new bike. I was looking for something with good components and a decent frame to upgrade later. The lbs had a new 2003 trek 1000 frame with new ultegra9 and cosmos wheels, ttt bars and stem, etc. They built it up for me for $900. Anyways, does anyone have any experience with these frames??? I am just wondering how much of a priority i should make on getting a new frame. Thanks a lot

The frame is what it is... I believe the 1000 goes for about $500.. It looks like they put some nice stuff on it, but you may have been better off just going with the 1200 or 2000...they both have the "SL' or superlight aluminum frames... but would come with tiagra or 105 components respectively...

Sounds like a nice ride though... enjoy it.
