thanks

I think it's just a nylon bag, so yeah, cut a hole for your mirror. How far north are you that you're worrying about pogies already? ;)
You'll see when you get them that this may not be any kind of issue. The mirror might just stick out of the open part of the Moose Mitt.
And I wouldn't cut them. They're not just nylon bags.

They're Cordura [nylon] with a fleece liner [polyester]. Fine, a nylon and polyester bag. Last winter I made some for drop bars out of a PU-coated ripstop nylon stuff sack and Windstopper fleece that look almost identical to their drop bar version. Worked like a charm, especially after I cut small slits in them so I could strap them internally to the drops.
Congratulations.
Still, those of us not majoring in Home Ec. may not have your mad bag skillz.

Hey, I make a mean batch of chocolate chip cookies, and I can whip-stitch with the best of 'em.
westsam: The Moose Mitts come in two varieties

The flat bar version will require you to cut a hole in the end to mount a mirror, the prototype drop bar version will not.
Speaking as a guy with a hole in his Moose Mitts (from scraping a wall), the problem is that the fleece gets wet whenever it rains. Got something for that?
