Electric Bikes - Bionx Throttle Problem

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
My brand new throttle started feeling a bit loose and moving beyond its normal range. Stupidly I ignored the problem and today the throttle lever dropped off. I managed to retrieve the lever, spring and screw but re-attaching the internal magnet to the lever required removing the securing bolts, then prying with a knife and lifting the top off the console. If I had tightened the lever straight away, I could have been cycling an extra hour today! I still have to re-waterproof the console!

Bionx kits are guaranteed for 1 year. Check with the shop that sold it to you.
Yeah, I phoned the store and they suggested I bring in the part - I balanced that off with fixing it now and not having to wait while repairs were made.
