man.... had to have been the sun, or just a misjudge in distance if he was looking back before going around the SUV or something. I don't know who he was, but what a tragedy. I pass tons of parked cars all the time on my route, talk about hitting me in the face to make sure I stay double alert to them now!

Yeah. I mean a super experienced cyclist (Cat. 1 ?? ) to make a judgement error like that ... wow. Obviously if he went through the back window ... he was rolling pretty good.

Also, if the SUV was 'pulled over', how did he run into the back of it? Park it OFF the road!

I try to pull into parking lots or maybe a farm field access drive.

Funeral today.

(aside: heading out in a few minutes to the 'death zone' ... Racine County, WI ... but I'm staying on the gravel bike trail hoping to come home again)
