Alright, maybe this has nothing to do with cycling, but it everthing to do with traveling and maybe some of you could help me out. I'm looking for a rucksack to hold everything I need for a 2-7 day trip. I'm thinking something along the lines of a military rucksack, but I haven't been able to find one that I like. It seems like backpacks these days are either super-expensive internal-framed trekking/hiking/mountaineering packs or small super-expenive school packs and laptop cases. Does anybody know where I can find a rugged, unframed yet sizeable rucksack?

Try one of the larger CamelBAK's You don't have to use the water bladder if you don't want to.

Try this one it is the largest CamelBAK has to offer I believe.

Packs at Campmor.com (http://www.campmor.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CategoryDisplay?catalogId=40000000226&storeId=226&categoryId=947&langId=-1&parent_category_rn=242)

If you want a more military style pack, look at The 3-day Assault Pack (http://www.rstacticalgear.com/pd_blackhawk_three.cfm). This was a pack I seriously considered to replace my current CamelBak RimRunner. I will probably get a Ultimate Directions Speed Demon (http://www.rei.com/online/store/ProductDisplay?storeId=8000&catalogId=40000008000&productId=47697545&parent_category_rn=4500632) or a GoLite Race Pack.

I just purchased a JanSport backpack, un-framed, soft, and not super-humungous.
It's for my son (age 12) to carry his books in.

I purchased it at CostCo for the amazingly comfortable price of about 12 bucks.

Check it out if you have any CostCos near you.
