In full blown day-before pre-race twitch mode, and now I think it's time to start obsessing about tires. I've been running Mud 2s front and back for practice for the last several weeks. We've had dry weather all week, though, and 4's start last in our series, so the grassy, fast course is likely to be very packed by the time I get on it. Besides Muds, I have a set of Jets as well. So the q's:
Leave the Muds on and don't sweat it? Run a Jet on the rear and Mud front? Jets all around?
Also, I have been running 35 in the front and 40 in the rear so far. Maybe bump that 5 lbs up on both sides to take advantage of the harder pack?

The day before a race, the most important thing is to change as much stuff on your bike as possible.

So converting it to single speed this afternoon is a good idea too then? I'm sitting here thinking that doing that could inject some "holy ****!" into my game tomorrow.

And while we're at it: is the best plan to start beer consumption this afternoon (while replacing the drivetrain) and pass out early, or to start the beer later and shoot to arrive at the venue still lit?
Arive at the race half lit, continue drinking during your warm up laps, follow up with a shot or 4 on the start line, and make sure you do at least one 2 full beer handups per lap. By the 3rd lap you will be and added set of barriers on the course.

Uh yeah, the thing I was really concerned about at the race was which tires I was running and whether they were 5lbs off or not. It wasn't my utter lack of hup hup or trying not to barf. Really.
