Classic & Vintage - Bye Bye Peugeot Mixte

I thought you guys would get a kick out of some pics of a great looking Peugeot Mixte from the '80's. You don't usually get to see them in this good shape. This is a Peugeot Iseran

I appreciated the fact that my young teenage son enjoyed riding this classic and it was even a favorite among his friends in these modern times.

Mixte's are a unique design. Kinda cool really. I wonder why the idea didn't last?

Interestingly, I have also have a traditional DIAMOND frame Peaugeot Iseran, so apparently Peugeot made both a Mixte and a diamond frame Iseran. Oops, as I write this, I just realized that I HAVE (had) a matching pair of Peugeot Iseran that I am now breaking up!! OMG, what was I thinking? Too late now. Oh, man oh man... OH man. Well, anyway.

Anyway, the wife says "thin out the heard" to make space in the garage, so this one is just about sold on you know what...

If anybody is trying to rebuild one to spec, now is the time to ask me questions for reference. I tried to take as many notes as possible for my files, but you never know what I might miss.

Even though you sell it, hopefully it will still see love from the new owner.
i just bought a 63 peugeot mixte for my girlfriend because i fell in love with it. She already had a decent 70s raleigh mixte but the faster, lighter, uniqueness of the peugeot is now her favorite.
I would be curious to know how much you get for it.

Now that is interesting. I didn't know that they were making Mixte in the 60's. That must have been very unique. You don't happen to have a photo you can share with us, do you?

I know that the Mixte design was made by several bicycle manufacturers, but it seems to me it was most popular with the French.

That's an awesome condition bike, when I was a teen in the mid 70's, that would be a girl's bike, it had the lowered bar so she wouldn't have to be un lady-like while wearing a skirt and lift her leg too high to get on/off. Or so I was told. Anyway, if one of us guys was seen riding one of these type of bike, we'd be asked "Did you steal that from your sister?"
