If you get it sorted, I'll do my best to be there.

what about an early morning weekend ride?

night rides are for the weak. morning rides are nice when combined with breakfast / hangovers.

hasn't this been the 5th time this thread has been started?

dumpstervegan

Yeah, everyone is always like "let's do a ride" and everyone says, "YEAH LETS DO IT!" and then that's all.

But I'm with Naz, if it gets sorted this time I'll be there.

And I'm with Al5, if it's early morning weekend I'm ****ing there for sure.

dumpstervegan: For the record I did go for a group ride last weekend, it just ended up being a group of me, myself, and I. We fought, cried, and went our own ways. As for riding: if there's food involved, I'm in

Set up some possible times and dates and we'll do a vote.

We can do a morning ride and then get lunch at the Handlebar.

singlespeed

well I know that you are taking a vote for a bigger group ride, but would anyone be interested in a ride this Saturday, the 6th, morning? Meet up about eight thirty or so. Maybe grab some food and cof-ay along the way somewhere.

Just trying to throw something out there that is definite.

I MAY be up for it. I think I am riding with a friend that morning in any case. So we could meet up with you.

Please post the time and location once you have a definitive answer.

Someone just name a date and a time and everyone fuucking show up a'ight?

A'la what SingleSpeed did only not asking, just telling.

I can't rock 6:00AM though. I may be a morning person but not THAT much a morning person.

singlespeed
03-05-04, 03:10 PM
ok, I am a morning person but 6am would be crazy.

If anyone wants to meet up I will be leaving from Clark and Howard at 8 am. I will head south into the city and if anyone would like to hook up along the way, just shout. We can meet up somewhere.

No real plan about route or length, except that it will be south into the city. If anyone wants to hook up anywhere along the way we can go from there.

Like I said it will probably involve some food and coff-ay along the way. Just let me know.

Borders!!?!! Borders??!??

Here that whooshing sound? It's the Chicago Fixie Crowd's street cred plummeting into the abyss.

Do they have a Starbucks in the Borders? You all could go there and grap a frappucinno after you ride up and down the sidewalk a couple of times.

Cha...Y'all may as well go meet at the Lincoln Park VW dealership and troll for Trixies...Sounds like you TrixieMales may be just what they are looking for...

Hmmm...methinks there's a Chad in hiding Schiek...you.
You're the one with your finger on the VW dealership. I knew the El Camino pic was from your 'slummin' days

Hey, my wife's Passat is a WAGON! And she's an emergency clinic veterinarian...too much blood and guts for a Trixie.

Oh and as my indisputable piece of evidence that she is no Trixie and I am no Chad...she makes more money than I do, yet still married me.

Only cause she couldn't foot the bill for the SUV VW.

A VW is a VW is a VW.

Then again, I don't get the who trixie thing really.

Beyond that, I'd get hung if anyone knew what I drive, and what my espousa drives.

That was about 3 versions of said Jeep ago. Smaller tires, smaller lift, no lockers, and I hadn't rolled it.. yet. And all but 3 of the people there sold thier jeeps and gave up becuase.. they weren't comfortable to drive, etc.

I can't believe you found that. You suck for being that good at that. Just for that I'm gonna call you CHAD. What ever that is, it seems to be the appropriate insult.

Wait,

That's not me. Yeah, that's it. Not me. :D

I"m gonna go hide now.

So, is you're new jeep trail rated? I would hate to think the kid in the soapbox H2 could take you.

Same old jeep. Just bigger tires, ARB lockers, better skids, and a roll cage that won't collapse and smash my @#$#$ head in. 1998, 101 thousand miles now. H2's suck. Rebadged Chevy truck with a 5 link rear. Nothing special there. To wide too.

1. riding through 3 winters
2. owning a vw gti
3. riding a hellish century during the rapture
4. liking Frapacinos(sp?)
5. commuting 60mi suburbs to chicago
6. living in the suburbs
7. racing 3 alleycat stages
8. sleeping through 2 stages.....

screw it, this is worse than finals

yeah..how about this Friday night, Daley Plaza, 5:30PM? We can ride anywhere, eat something, yada yada yada...I'd be game for morning rides, if I didnt work weekend mornings....

absntr

We need to do something on a weekend afternoon or another weekday evening though not at 5:30 - too early (people getting off work, need to get their bikes, etc). Friday evening is the worst partly due to work and then afterwards there's always something going on Friday. This Friday in particular there's a few art show openings (down in Pilsen if anyone is interested). Also part of the reason I don't do mass.

Willy - it's exactly like herding cats. Buffalo even.

Wow...and you're a teacher! Think context...see what my response quoted. Basic structure, and you get an F. Unless of course you are unfamiliar with what an 'alleycat' is, then I understand.
Whatstickerguy is refering to is the last stage of the "Tour Da Chicago," a.k.a.as the "Stairmaster." Check it out and let me know how it was (take pics if you go!) since I will be in PA. And tell Marcus hello.

Furthermore, don't try and plant some sexual meaning here (your calling card to my posts), although after being around all those High School kids you really want to. Maybe you should transfer out to Hinsdale...
