In your opinion, what is the best hydration system to mount on the bike? I have the older aero drink. I would give it a C+ to B-. The reason being, it can be an A- on drink delivery, but has gone as low as a C- or D+ on containing said drink whenever the road is not perfectly smooth.

I know there are plenty of other systems (speedfill, aerobottles on the downtube, never-reach, camelbak, etc.) Is there anything close to consensus on what is best?

I have an Arundel Chrono on my P2C and find it an awkward reach. I'm thinking about an XLab Sonic Wing just to try it out. We'll see.

I just did IM Wisconsin. I trained with and raced with one of the newer Profile Designs Aerodrink bottles on the bike. It has the new-style black top with the star-cut neoprene in it as well as the yellow splash-spongie thing. I give it an A-, as, when full, it still allowed a TINY bit of splash out of the bottle when hitting bumps (but nothing like the old bottles with just the little yellow spongie-splash-guard thingie). I use the optional mounting system and two rubber bands to keep it in place, and it survived a pretty nasty crash during the race without being dislodged.

I am happy with it, but I still want to try the down-tube mounted Speedfill system.

I think I remember that from the pic you posted of your new ride. Are you enjoying the bike? I think I mentioned, I went with the P2C as well, just had a fit yesterday, like a glove. I bought the aluminum version of the hydrotail (H.5), largely because all3sports had it on sale with two free profile cages - that and the silver color matches my bike :)

I'll use it for training, but for races I would prefer something I don't have to reach at all for. The speedfill is really interesting me, but something I can't put my finger on is holding me back (something besides the hefty price for a bottle)

Yeah, the bike ROCKS. I guess the Speedfil is a good design, but I wish they'd shown some data from the wind tunnel going head to head with an aft-mounted carrier. The Speedfil just looks so clunky. I know aesthetics shouldn't matter, but that thing is fugly.
