Cooler weather is just around the corner. 52 degrees for the start of my ride tomorrow. I have the bike jacket, but could not find pants/tights. I am 6'4". Any recommendations especially in the area of picking a size? Do I need to go with XXL even though the middle is not that big?

Certain models of the Nashbar house brand tights (http://www.nashbar.com/profile.cfm?category=6000137&subcategory=60001209&brand=&sku=19441&storetype=&estoreid=&pagename=Shop%20by%20Subcat%3A%20Tights%20%26%20Pants) come in tall sizes.

Near as I can tell, their mediums should be good for 36" inseam or more with stretching. Far too much for my 34".

Don't know about sizing but Bibs tights or normal?

I am in two thoughts. If I am just out riding and it will stay cool- I go for the bibs. They stay in place- don't slip down and Stomach size does not matter. However if it does look as though it would warm up, or if they will be coming off for some reason- Then I would opt for conventional pants.

And I always wear Bib shorts underneath- so get my tights without any padding in them.

Great selection of knee warmers, leg warmers, arm warmers, tights, and knickers.
Everything is true to size.

+1 If it will get warmer on your ride, knee/leg warmers are the way to go, you can just slip them off as needed.

At those prices, I would hope the quality was incredibly good.

I have 3 pairs of bibs that I bought in the summer of 2003. They are finally showing signs of wear and will need to be replaced soon.
I have 3 pairs of arm warmers (yellow for visibility) I bought in the fall of 2003. The Voler logo is wearing off 2 pairs and the seam is coming unraveled on one pair.
I have a fluorescent yellow jersey I bought in 2003. I wear it all the time and still looks great. Just a little faded from so many hours in the sun.

I always thought their prices were very good compared to other online retailers.

I'm very happy with their products. :thumb:

I'm sure they are very good products for those who can afford them. I guess the price comparison depends on which stores you compare. $75 bibs just aren't within my scope and so I don't shop for them. I have had very good results with shorts and bibs in the $40 - $50 range. Some would find that too much to pay.

My faves are Pearl Izumi Tokyo Tights. They're actually relatively loose--and incredibly comfortable.

These work well for me. Slightly relaxed fit. No pad which is great for recumbents or you could wear padded shorts under them.

+1 I have tried both PI and Louis Garneau leg and knee warmers and find them similar. The PI seem to run a little larger and last a little longer.
