Southern California - Builders at The Path in Tustin

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I'm considering having a bike built for me at The Path in Tustin. Wondering if anyone has any experience to share. The bike is not an MTB, if that makes any difference.
Otherwise my first choice would be Jack at Coates which is much closer to home.

Love The Path go there often but I 1) would stick to mountain bikes and 2) I wouldn't have them build a bike. I saw a guy take a mallet to a head tube/set once!
Check out Cyclecare in Lake Forest instead. Or The Edge in Laguna Niguel.
They built my Mtb and the wheels.
I gave them a frame and fork and a list of parts.
We then discussed how I wanted my wheels built. Got a price on the parts that was WAY below what I
thought they would be.
Very very happy with the way it turned out!
They do some road bikes, but I think it is more along the lines of SSpeeds.
IMO, they do great service, will give you a great price, and will do whatever they can ( at least bike related anyway :innocent:)to make you happy.
I have never been to The Path, but I can't say enough good things about Jack. After 20 years of riding and racing, he is the best mechanic that has ever worked on a bike for me. He has probably built at least 4 or 5 of my bikes over the years. He doesn't work on my bikes as often anymore, but when I really need something done right, I will take my bike to his house.

I sent you a PM.
