Classic & Vintage - early-80s Peugeot 103

I've got a circa 1980-3 Peugeot 103 carbolite bike that's been stored boxed in the attic since 1988. Great condition. Is it worth anything whole or for parts?

Carbolite 103 was used on entry level models, so it's probably not worth a lot. However, that will depend on the exact model and year, your local market conditions, how you plan on selling it and the mechnanical and cosmetic condition.

Lurk ebay and search the completed auctions to see what they can go for.

wow....wonder if the buyer knew about all the French bike oddities....well, makes me feel warm about the 103 a friend gifted me recently.

Probably worth more whole than parts, as it was a bottom end bike (so parts have little to no value). Around here, a bike like you describe would sell for around $150 in good ready to ride condition.

Thanks for the replies. I'm never sure on craigslist or ebay if those are realistic prices. I'm in the Upstate, too, and the Triangle, so $150 sounds pretty good to me!

Ebay prices are 'real' whereas CL prices are asking prices. That being said and as others have commented, prices are all over the map depending on a variety of factors.
