I always hear people advise on getting the Salmon pads for the best performance. I have went to Sheldon Browns website and Kool Stops to get information on what the difference between the Salmon and Black pads are. The Black is for normal dry condition and Salmon is for Wet conditions. I ride a local railtrail and never ride if it is raining unless of course the occasional summer rain shower gets me. So the possibility of rain is there. Should I get the Salmons anyway or is it overkill???

The blacks are grippy enough in the dry that I can get a weird flex/vibration in my aluminum fork. In other words, the blacks are as grippy as I want... I can't imagine wanting more.
