Classic & Vintage - Bridgestone 400, 1985

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Girl is asking 200$ for a non functional bridgestone 400. Still has original equipment if I am reading her photo right, and it needs new cassette and chain. Has multiple light scratches. She said she found it by a dumpster. I don't know how to get the jpeg to attach, it looks like I have to upload to a website and then link the url? In any case, I think 200 is way to much, Is it worth going to look at this thing? I recently lost my beloved modified Univega Sport tour, which I have been riding for commute to and from work for about 25 years (well I rode it on centuries 20 years ago). Just now getting back on my bike and need to find something to ride.

From what I understand, the pre-Peterson bikes were not special. For a non-functional bike, the $ number is probably about $50. You can't really take her word that the rest of the components work if you can't ride the thing.
If you right click on 'save image ull' and then past that in between I think that should give us the picture.
Thanks cannonizer.
The bike sold for $150. That is what is happening around here, I live close to the Bay area, Santa Cruz and the prices for bikes are astronomical.
