i plugged in 2 nights starting sept 24 into hotwire
it came back with $29 2-star hotel in Denver Tech Center

generally i find i can plug 10-20% less than hotwire into priceline name your price
and get accepted
a recent posting in bidding for travel.com shows a $25 bid winning
