Foo - I went hunting for the Blair Witch the other day

While camping at our family reunion I heard this tock tock tock noise....kinda like in the movie where the Blair Witch was hitting rocks together. Feeling like I had to protect my family, I went to get the only defense I found, (my nephew's new Red Ryder bb gun) and went looking.

To my disappointment, I found the gazebo we had set up had flipped in the wind and was stuck between the cars. The poles were hitting them making that scary sound.

I shoulda brought my much more powerful PELLET gun but nooOOOooooooOOOOooo. I was warned not to. :mad:

So when I went to tell my family the next day (it so happens I was the only one who heard it :rolleyes:) they all laughed at me. Nobody appreciated my intended sacrifice for them. Pffft. What. Evah. :notamused:

The last time I went backpacking I had a 357S&W and Hambone was carrying .45 plus we had a bull terrier and a german shepard so I think we were OK.

No. Those can be easily lost or withered away by wet weather. We had a Garmin GPS! :thumb:

I like to carry everything on my back for days on end...I think a 10 mile long electric cord would be uncomfortable...

This was CAMPING not backpacking. And we had a generator.

a what?!? Jeez, even when I'm just car camping, I just bring my mandolin and hang out by the fire. (It usually keeps the scary animals away and also other campers...)

A GENERATOR. We had to pump up the air mattresses somehow.

Next you're gonna tell me you pull a little gas out of the generator to light the campfire :lol:

A generator, huh? And there I was, mentally congratulating you for the fortitude & perserverance you must have shown in handling such a long extension cord.:D
