I mostly ride alone... but I thought it would be fun to get some group rides together (road). Being newer to road biking, I know there are a lot of cool rides that I haven't been introduced to yet. Let me know what you think!

I live up north a bit but work downtown SLC and often ride around town during my lunch breaks. My favorite routes happen to be between Layton and SLC but I like climbing the canyons around SLC too. I'm sure if you post up when you are available and what kind of ride you are looking for, we could round up a group. I'm thinking of doing Emigration up and over on to the top of Big Mountain and back early this Saturday if anyone wants to come along.

Check out the "rides" section at Bonneville Cycling Club's website, here. (http://www.bbtc.net/) You don't need to be a member to go on the rides and there's a good variety, everything from beginner to race pace.

We may be up Emigration on Saturday or Sunday, too, JF1, but later in the day. That ride up to Big Mountain is great, especially this time of year.

By "we" do you mean members of the BBTC as well? What time do you think you'll be starting?

No, just a group of us who sometimes get out on the weekends. Depends on everyone's schedules. I'll try to nail something down and if it comes together, I'll post something here.

Sorry, the planets didn't line up until the last minute (7:00 on Sunday morning). And it looks like the weather sucks for this weekend.

Anyway, if anyone gets a plan going, maybe you could post it here.

Cheers.

You're right, the weather is crappy this weekend! I would like to try imigration canyon so let me know! Being a full time student and working full time, my available times vary. I'd like to set something up though!

Weather's worse this weekend, which sucks because it would've been nice to get up and see the colors before they're covered with snow.

If it warms up again and anyone gets a ride together, let's post it here.

Cheers.

I'm getting ready to go out and get in 30 miles here right before lunch but it looks like that will be it for the rest of the weekend. Maybe next weekend.

We rode the Legacy Trail after work the nuther day, 25 round trip end to end, it was ok, very few people so far. I expected to see a lot more commuters, all we saw looked like recreational riders, including us.

Malkin and I rode the Redster on the Legacy trail a couple of weeks ago. We found it to be a nice alternative to the Marina ride because it is much smoother. On the down side, there are no restroom or water stops unless you leave the trail--oh and horse poo.

We'll likely make another run tomorrow. PM if you want to join us.

Cheers!!
