When I was a kid we had a neighbour who didn't hand out candy to the kids on Hallowe'en, instead she gave each kid a religious brochure from her church. Every year her door would get covered in soap (we lived in an apartment building, since destroying her front door involved ruining the hallway, the kids held back).
